ESSF

1.1. The Environmental and Social Sustainability Funds (ESSF) was established in 2024 under the Sustainable Management Centre (PPL) to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT).

1.2. The aim of the ESSF is part of UMT’s efforts to support and cultivate sustainable development initiatives, community well-being, and environmental preservation. This fund is intended to finance projects that reduce negative impacts on ecosystems and enhance community welfare through education, health, and green technology.

1.3. This grant was also introduced to support the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda, introduced in September 2015, which encompasses the following 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

iii. Good Health and Well-Being (SDG 3)
iv. Quality Education (SDG 4)
v. Gender Equality (SDG 5)
vi. Clean Water and Sanitation (SDG 6)
